A picturesque, tucked-away, and quiet escape. The views are breathtaking and the rooms are cozy. We stayed in a two bedroom set up with their own separate ensuites. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Even in the summer the nights can get chilly, but there is an in-bed electric blanket to keep you comfortable and warm. There is also a radiator if you need a little extra. Now the food...oh. Kudos to the chef! Just an excellent array of traditional dishes made to perfection. The staff are polite and punctual. The grounds also have a small playground if you have kids. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place for peace and quiet. The rooms are very clean and well prepared for any first time American in Kashmir. The service was phenomenal and punctual. Each time I asked for something the host delivered all of my requests at a timely manner. The location is a bit isolated but that is as expected and much much better than being at the center of the main town. You are surrounded by nature all around and friendly people. I have no complaints whatsoever and will definitely be visiting in the future. I was blessed with the opportunity to see fresh snowfall the night I stay, hope to visit in the summer next time!

Stayed at Himalaya Herbal Resort for three nights. We enjoyed this place most in our trip. Resort staff goes one step ahead to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. This place is very very scenic and have mountains across all sides and beautiful white water river flowing along side. We can walk and enjoy river anytime. This place is not away from Sonmarg main market ( around 4 km) but that makes it special .There is no noise,it’s quite ,beautiful and serene , gives best way to absorb Kashmir beauty. They serve fresh ,hot and tasty food . I highly recommend this place to stay. Happy Stay!! Note: As resort is not on main road you may some difficult to reach in case vehicle does have high clearance. As per update they working to have better road condition , but please get in touch with resort POC on current state. Given said , irrespective road condition this is very go to place for memorable stay.

I recently stayed at the Sonmarg Himalayan Herbal Resort in Kashmir during my trip to Ladakh on May 22nd, 2024. After getting stuck on the Zojila Park back highway on our way back to Leh, we decided to stay at this resort at the last moment. It turned out to be a wonderful decision as we were greeted with beautiful scenes, friendly people, and amazing food. Even though we only spent one night at the resort, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The rooms were decently sized and well-maintained. The resort provided a comfortable and relaxing environment for us to unwind after a long day of traveling. One highlight of our stay was the delicious food served at the resort. We were delighted by the variety of options available, and each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. The culinary experience added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. The natural beauty surrounding the resort was breathtaking. We couldn't help but appreciate the stunning views of the Himalayas and the serene atmosphere. It made us wish we could have stayed longer to fully immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the place. Overall, our experience at the Sonmarg Himalayan Herbal Resort was nothing short of delightful. We look forward to returning to this place with our beautiful wife for a longer stay and create more wonderful memories.

Even though the location of the hotel is slightly away from city centre but the surrounding scenic view will make anyone spellbound..... surely they were pet friendly.... ambience was too good..... owner and his team were very friendly and cooperative..... overall the stay was excellent...
